Activities and Clubs
Activities and Clubs
Clubs are open and available to all students on campus. They are all facilitated by a staff member but are student generated as to type and activity. New clubs are popping up all the time. Students come up with ideas, get them approved and then the new clubs are off and running. Other clubs that have recently begun are Queer Straight Alliance (QSA) and Knitting.
Drama
Our after school drama club is open to all students. It is led by professional instructors/actors from THTR Productions. The club participates in two spectacular productions during the school year.
Interact Club
Interact is a club for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students who want to connect with others in their community and school. Club members have fun while carrying out service projects and learning about both their local and national community. Interact organizes several service projects a year. While the Twin Hills Interact club receives guidance from the Sebastopol Rotary, they govern and support themselves. Interact meets every other week at lunch.
Coding/Robotics Club
Coding and/or Robotics is a club for all grades. It's an opportunity for students who want to explore and learn the basics of computer programming in a team setting. These clubs meet weekly after school.
Student Council
The Student Council group is for all students who enjoy building school community and connecting with their fellow student body. Students build community through organizing spirit days, dances, rallys, Friday Fun events, and fundraising events such as hot cocoa and candy sales both before school and during break or lunch. Student council members meet twice a month and report back to their student body regularly.
In the essence of service and tradition, council members vote and purchase an item for the school annually. In previous years, the student council has purchased library furniture, public art including the panther sculpture and the mural, tables and umbrellas, and last year, a water bottle filling station for the MUR.
Chess Club
The Chess Club meets weekly at lunch in room 24. This is a fun, no pressure opportunity for all students to learn the game of chess while having fun at the same time. Newcomers are always welcome.
Culinary Club
The Culinary Club meets once a week after school in the culinary room. This is a fun, no pressure opportunity for all students to enjoy the art, creativity of cooking. Newcomers are always welcome.
